Today as I sat in Dr. Pineda's office I realized that I truly am blessed. My earthly mom and grandmother is in Heaven, but God put two women in my life to help keep me straight. Berdie Lee Hixon and Myra Bynum sat with me during our wait at the doctors office. I must say there is never a dull moment when you put all three of us together and too bad Mary Ray could not be with us today.
As the nurse took my blood she was explaining to me what they would be checking for, my kidney and liver function, cancer cells in my colon and so forth. She said how have you been doing and I said great. I told her she would be shocked to know what I have been doing. I explained to her that my 67 year old uncle who is a stroke patient had came to live with us for a short time until I got him into assisted living. She could not believe it!
I said I go from the caregiver to the patient and then back to the caregiver role. I think this maybe my calling to a certain degree.
When Dr. Pineda came into the room he said Oh My! He began saying you don't need a doctor you need to spend your money shopping, and I laughed. The nurses told me I would not recognize you, you look so much better than the last time I saw you. I said great. He said you have gained 10 pounds since your last visit and this is not a bad thing it is good for you.
I am telling you that Mary Kay makeup is some good stuff. They should pay me to wear it.
I am very thankful to have my health back so I can enjoy these beautiful days. I just want to be the best child for God, I want people to say He is a Miracle Healer. I am still here because God has always taken care of me, He gives me the gumption to get out of bed each day and try to be the best I can.
Please do not take your health for granted, and for goodness sake don't take God for granted. Enjoy what He has given you and take every blessing with Grace. Don't brag or boast about the earthly things you have, but brag on Jesus for his sacrifice that He ultimately gave for all, HIS LIFE!
God Bless,
