It is almost Christmas time and I am trying to stay upbeat. This will be my 3rd Christmas without our sweet Daniel. I know he is fine, but I still am a mom even though life was so short for him. Oh it seems just like yesterday that he and Ray had their bb gun's going out to find something to shoot at. That's the way our boys were, they loved to hunt, fish and just get plain old dirty. I can still hear them giggle because I found their worms in their pants pockets just before they entered the washing machine. I really had to laugh hard when my mom had bought them little fishing rods with a big plastic fish on the end of the line. I walked into the bathroom to find them with the fish in the toilet just splashing water all in the floor. They could come up with some good ones. One day before I went to work I told the boys I wanted them to pick up all their toys and clean their room real good. When I got home that afternoon to my surprise the room was spotless, not a toy in sight. I said boys where did you put all of your toys, Ray said in the garbage can. Well why did you do that I asked and Daniel said because we want one of those guns like daddy. Oh boy we went from the small guns to the big ones. That is the story of little boys and their toys.
These are some of my funny memories. On the serious side of being a mom, life stinks sometimes. I have no answers, I only know that one day God will make it all right. I hope you remember to tell those around you that you love them. Don't worry about that perfect gift because Jesus is perfect. I hope you have a very Merry CHRISTmas!!
