The Next 30 Years!!

Thirty Years ago on Friday May 21, 1982 I gave my heart to the man who I love so much.  Our life together has been a blessing. God knew that he was just the husband I would need. A man who would love me for better or worse, in sickness and health.
When I was first diagnosed with Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) at the age of 22, I gave him the option to bow out because I knew that my life was going to be more down than up. He said I love you and when I said I would love you through sickness and health I meant those words.
Donald is the strongest man that God could have made, he has endured every step of my Journey with this disease. All the times he sat in the waiting room every time I have been in the hospital in ICU and the doctors came out and said she is not going to make it. He always said you do your part and God will do the rest.
Our love is more special to me more today than it was 30 years ago, because we have held onto God's promises. I am where I am today because of God and the sweet man who holds my heart. We can overcome all the bad stuff that life hands us if we trust in the Lord. The good stuff is great, but if we never had trials how would we know that we can stand the test?
We remember and still feel all the grief of losing a son, it did not tear us apart, but made us stronger.
Here's to the next 30 years!!!!!!

HE COMFORTS US EVERY TIME WE HAVE TROUBLE, SO WHEN OTHERS HAVE TROUBLE, WE CAN COMFORT THEM. 2 CORINTHIANS 1:4
